Inside Fleet Lodge

The open-plan kitchen, dining and living area is where the good times happen – a dining table for eight, a fully equipped kitchen, and a comfortable sitting area with a 42″ smart TV for quieter evenings in. There’s the option of an extra double sofa bed here too, increasing potential guests to eight.

Upstairs are three bedrooms, all of which can be made up as doubles or twins depending on your group. One has its own ensuite; the other two share a bathroom, with a WC downstairs too. Cots, kids’ camp beds and stair gates are available on request, so families with little ones are well catered for.

Outdoor Living

Step out from the cottage into your garden, with outdoor furniture, sun loungers and a BBQ fire pit – good for long evenings and toasting marshmallows. The garden is fully enclosed and dog safe, with uninterrupted field views stretching out beyond.

There’s also a shared games room on site with table tennis, pool table and table foosball – perfect for a rainy afternoon or a bit of friendly family competition.

Food at Fleet Lodge

Fleet Lodge is fully equipped for self-catered stays, and many guests love having the freedom to cook to their preferences and schedule. When you’d rather take a break from the kitchen, our Harty Estate chefs can prepare food to be delivered straight to the cottage – brunch platters, grazing boards, and crowd-pleasing traybakes made with estate-grown produce, farm beef and the best of Kent.

Throughout the year we also host a handful of pop-up dining occasions at The Harty Estate. It’s worth checking whether one falls during your stay.

Dog Friendly

Fleet Lodge is dog friendly, with an enclosed garden and a pup welcome pack on arrival. Our two-acre secure exercise field with play agility equipment is free to use for all cottage guests throughout your stay, just book a slot in advance.

Location

Fleet Lodge sits in one of Kent’s quietest corners where pleasures are simple and the pace is easy. Watch birds of prey sweep low over the fields, spot wildlife along the water’s edge, and enjoy life at a slower pace.

There are some beautiful walks and cycling trails right on the doorstep – the Isle of Harty Trail, the Kent Coastal Path, a lovely route through the Swale Nature Reserve, and the beaches at Leysdown and Shellness within easy reach. Part of Something Bigger

Mocketts Farm is home to five cottages, all sitting within The Harty Estate – a working estate that hosts weddings, private celebrations and corporate retreats. Fleet Lodge works beautifully on its own, or alongside the other cottages for larger groups who want a little more space and privacy.
