Set beside the Swale estuary in Kent, The Harty Estate sits between two nature reserves, surrounded by our family farmland in one of Kent's most unique and unspoilt corners. The estate is wonderfully remote, with wide skies and an edge-of-the-world feeling, while still being easy to reach.

Wild meadows are threaded with fleets and channels, where the water creates a stunning, natural backdrop for your wedding and the landscape shifts with the seasons. No two days ever look quite the same, and every season brings its own beauty.

At the heart of the estate is The Ferry House - an exclusive setting for your wedding day. Here, your ceremony can take place in any of three beautiful spaces, each with its own sense of occasion.

Exchange vows in one of two waterside wedding barns - Hop Barn or Spring Barn. Both are rustic and refined, with a feeling of being connected to the landscape around them. Meanwhile, the Oak Gazebo looks out over the Rose Garden, wetland meadows and the Swale estuary - a peaceful setting for the moment you say 'I do', framed by open water and sky.

Whether you're planning an intimate celebration or gathering everyone you love, the estate welcomes up to 260 ceremony and wedding breakfast guests, and up to 350 into the evening.

Our menus are built around what we grow, farm and source here, supplemented by the best of Kent's produce, and made with the same care we put into the rest of your day.

Our award-winning chefs work with homegrown produce from our Kitchen Garden, family farm and the wider estate, creating dishes that feel genuinely connected to the place you're celebrating in.

From the first canapés, through a three-course wedding breakfast, to evening bites, midnight snacks and carefully chosen Kentish drinks - every part of your menu is designed to be loved and remembered.

One of the joys of celebrating at The Harty Estate is that your wedding doesn't have to end when the dancing stops - because your guests can stay right here with you. With 11 guest rooms and five self-catering cottages, there's space for more than 75 guests to settle in for the night and gather over breakfast the next morning.

Some couples choose to extend their wedding into a two-day celebration - because sometimes the biggest day of your life doesn't feel long enough. Welcome your guests with a relaxed gathering the evening before, settle any big day nerves and make even more forever memories.

During your celebrations, the wedding venue spaces are exclusively yours. From getting ready in one of two beautiful preparation rooms, to raising a glass in our 16th-century private pub, to mingling on the waterside terraces or settling into the lounges - the day flows at its own pace.

The venue feels spacious yet intimate, with each space thoughtfully connected to create a relaxed, celebratory atmosphere from the first moment to the last.
