Our Hop Barn is available year-round for ceremonies of 15-30 guests, Monday to Wednesday (excluding bank holidays) and on other late-availability dates. Oak, exposed brick and hops-strung beams lit with fairy lights give it warmth and character, while a polished concrete floor adds a subtle contemporary edge. Three sets of French doors open onto the terrace, gardens and estuary beyond. The whole space has a way of feeling complete as it is, though you're welcome to add your own styling touches too.

If you'd rather say your vows outside, our Oak Gazebo is available for outdoor ceremonies Monday to Wednesday (excluding bank holidays) from April to October, and on other last minute dates. Overlooking the Rose Garden, wetland meadows and estuary beyond, it's hard to imagine a more quietly perfect spot.

Not looking for a full day wedding? Our intimate twilight packages are designed for couples who want something a little different - less of the formality of a traditional wedding day, but all of the fun and connection.

With a twilight start, the morning is yours. No rushing. Just a slow, relaxed build-up to a later ceremony in the last of the day's light. As the sun goes down, the venue comes into its own - fairy lights within, festoon lights glowing out across the terrace and Rose Garden beyond. Then relaxed grazing dining, drinks, good company, and a party under the stars.

Or for those who think a small wedding needn't be short, our two-day intimate package begins the evening before your wedding at one of The Harty Estate's cottages.

Arrive, settle in, and spend the evening together. We'll set out a grazing table dinner, and the following morning, breakfast is delivered to your door. The wedding estate itself stays a surprise until your wedding day - which, if you've never experienced a reveal moment like that, is something very special.

It's a genuinely lovely way to start a marriage: unhurried, close, and with the people you love most already gathered around you.

Food at The Harty Estate is something we take real pride in. Our chefs work with produce from our own Kitchen Garden and family farm, as well as from the wider estate and Kent.

For most intimate weddings, dining happens beneath the hops and lights of the Hop Barn, which on its own makes a meal feel like an occasion.

You'll choose your dishes on a dedicated Wedding Tasting Evening. Whether you want a relaxed wedding breakfast, an evening of grazing, or one of our other tasty options, we'll help you put together a menu that feels like you.

For couples who'd like something a little different, your wedding breakfast can also be held in The Ferry House - the estate's private 16th-century pub. Period features, cosy fires in the winter months, and a stylish yet relaxed pub atmosphere that works beautifully for a intimate celebration.

The estate's five Waterside Rooms sit above The Ferry House private pub, so your nearest and dearest are never far away. One of them, Suite 5, looks out over the water and has a spa bath for twon- often the room of choice for couples on their wedding night.

A further six rooms and five self-catering cottages are also available on the estate should more of your guests want to extend the celebrations, and join you for our Kentish breakfast the following morning.

Intimate weddings get exactly the same care and attention as our larger celebrations - which is to say, a great deal of it.

We'll guide you through the planning with personal meetings at the estate, with a Venue Host on the day from our experienced and friendly team.

On the morning itself, two preparation rooms are yours to get ready in at your own pace. Wooden outdoor games, festoon and fairy lights, and a selection of complimentary vintage décor pieces are all included - the kind of details that, together, make a day feel like yours.
