The Year We Built Spring Barn

Spring Barn was ten years in the imagining, three years in the planning and then just six months in the building!

There were days when that felt impossibly hard, but watching our first couples walk into the finished barn made every one of them worth it.

We know we’re biased, but we really believe we’re worthy of these awards.

Spring Barn, with its intricate ‘hammerbeam’ frame and bi-folding doors opening up to views of the Swale estuary… The courtyard, strung with festoon lights and a beautiful brick fireplace, with the new Courtyard Lounge alongside. Inside, the bar, lounge and dancefloor all within the room, so your guests can gather and celebrate together.

2026 brought other changes too.

All weddings are exclusive use, but you can still return for pop-up dining and stay occasions throughout the year. Because having the venue to yourselves on your wedding day shouldn’t mean you can never come back.

Mornings are even more relaxed and special, with the second of our two getting-ready spaces transformed into a larger, lighter and fully accessible space.

Our new wedding menu is elevated and inspired by our 2AA Rosette dining experience.

There are more two-day wedding options, so you can enjoy more of this special time with your guests.

And Sonas, our new planning portal, keeps every plan and detail in one place, and helps make wedding planning a dream.

All of this sits alongside the things couples have always loved here: three places to say “I do”, a stunning waterside setting, 16^th century private pub and wedding accommodation for 75+ of your guests.

Best Event Team feels extra special, because nobody worked harder this year than our team. They helped bring the new estate to life, then went straight into running weddings in spaces that were brand new to them too. They made it look easy.

They get to know every couple and every plan, and they’ll go out of their way to make your day perfect. More than anything, they care about making each wedding feel like the only one.

Victoria Burden, who co-owns The Harty Estate with husband Alex, said:
