Described as “The nearest far away place to London,” Mocketts Farm sits on the Isle of Harty, a unique ‘isle within an isle’ separated from the Isle of Sheppey by the narrow Capel Fleet. It's a wild, wonderfully undiscovered corner of Kent, and it still feels that way.

The landscape shifts beautifully with the seasons, and wildlife is a constant presence - majestic birds of prey, wetland birds, and countryside creatures are part of daily life here. Walking and cycling trails invite you to explore, while coastal meadows, wetland nature reserves and nearby shingle beaches offer something to discover in every direction.

Secluded, yes - but far from cut off. Good road connections put Kent's favourite sights, seaside towns and historic cities well within reach whenever you fancy a change of scene.

The cottages are fully equipped for self-catered stays, and many guests love having the freedom to cook in their own time. But when you want to take the load off, our Harty Estate chefs are on hand to help.

We can deliver generous, properly-made food straight to your cottage - brunch platters, grazing tables and comforting, pop-in-the-oven traybakes, made with produce grown on the estate, beef from our family farm, wild game and the best ingredients Kent has to offer. The kind of crowd-pleasing food you'd happily make yourself, if you had the time.

For larger groups, private dining or celebrations can also be arranged in our nearby event spaces, just a short walk from the cottages. Throughout the year we also host occasional pop-up dining events at The Harty Estate, which may coincide with your stay.

Dogs are very much part of the family here. All five cottages welcome four-legged guests, with a pup welcome pack on arrival, enclosed gardens to roam, and two acres of fenced exercise field - complete with agility equipment - available to book at no extra cost.

Beyond the estate, the surrounding landscape is a dream for dogs and their people alike. Nearby Shellness Beach is open to dogs year-round, with other local beaches accessible during permitted seasons. It's fair to say your dog will sleep well here. Paw-fect.

As part of a two day wedding option, tuck in to a laden grazing table or a Kentish hog roast prepared by our chefs, get a good night's sleep in spacious, flexible accommodation, and wake up ready for the day ahead.

The morning of, there's plenty of room to get ready together - open-plan layouts, flexible bedrooms and no sense of rush. Then it's just a short stroll to the event spaces when the moment comes. (Or, if you fancy making an entrance, we can arrange a vintage tractor with haybale seating.) Afterwards, the cottages are right there - a peaceful place to linger with friends, or to begin married life exactly as you mean to go on.

The Harty Estate is just 60 minutes from London, but it feels like another world entirely - which is precisely the point. It's a genuinely peaceful and inspiring setting for corporate retreats and team-building, far from office distractions, with the Mocketts Farm Cottages providing flexible, comfortable accommodation for your group.

With 23 bedrooms across the cottages and an additional 11 rooms a short walk away, your team can enjoy privacy, comfort and open spaces to connect.

The Farmhouse cottage in particular offers something a little different for immersive live-in corporate events - a large open-plan ground floor for collaboration, and eight ensuite bedrooms when the day is done.
