If one day doesn’t feel quite enough, two days at The Harty Estate gives you the time to enjoy every part of it.

It means an evening together before your wedding, a night on the estate after it, and a slow breakfast the morning after. More time, more of the people you love, more moments you’ll treasure.

The Harty Estate sits beside the Swale estuary in rural Kent, between two nature reserves and surrounded by our family farmland – remote and unspoilt, with wide skies and an edge-of-the-world feeling, about an hour from London.

When you book a two-day celebration here, the wedding venue is exclusively yours – the barns, the waterside terraces, the gardens, the private pub, and more besides – from the first arrival to the last goodbye.

When two-day weddings are available

Two-day weddings at The Harty Estate are available on the following combinations:

• Wednesday to Thursday – year-round
• Friday to Saturday – January and February

Other mid week, seasonal and late availability dates may also be available.

Day two – your wedding day

Your wedding day begins with a full Kentish buffet breakfast laid on for the whole party, with everything you need to get the morning moving. If your wedding party is getting ready in one of our two preparation rooms, we’ll bring a brunch platter to you there, if you prefer.

Your ceremony takes place in one of three beautiful spaces. Exchange vows in the Hop Barn or Spring Barn, both rustic and refined with a feeling of being connected to the landscape around them. Or step outside to the Oak Gazebo, which looks out over the Rose Garden, wetland meadows and estuary.

Drinks follow in The Ferry House, our 16th-century private pub, and out across the waterside terraces – a wonderful part of the day when nerves have lifted and you’re free to take in the joy.

The rest of the day flows from there. A three-course, three choice wedding breakfast prepared by our award-winning chefs, working with homegrown produce from the kitchen garden, family farm and the wider estate, supplemented by the best of Kent – food that feels genuinely connected to the place you’re celebrating in.

Then an evening of dancing, and at the end of it all, your guests are already home. A complimentary honeymoon suite is yours for the night.

Day three – breakfast & farewell

The morning after goes slowly, and that’s exactly right. A full hot buffet breakfast is laid on, plus fresh bread, homemade preserves, fruit, yogurt, cereals, tea, coffee and local juices.

People find each other, laugh about the night before, and relive the day before anyone has to leave.

But it doesn’t have to be a final farewell. Throughout the year we host special pop-up dining and stay occasions at the estate – a chance to come back to your special place and relive and the memories you made here in the married years ahead.
